The Cove Lakeside Resort in West Kelowna is a perfect spot for holding a wedding. It has everything in one spot. The ceremony garden is beautiful, and the Grand Reserve ballroom is steps away. Photo opportunities are plentiful and all within walking distance. The Gellatly Nut Farm is close by and then there’s Okanagan Lake right there as well.
Jenessa and Brandon were the perfect couple. Their easy-going nature helped produce some amazing images. They traveled from Fort St. John all the way to Kelowna for their destination wedding. Many of their friends made the trip as well.
There’s a thing in the wedding photography industry, where, if you photograph a bride and then subsequently the weddings of each of her bride’s maids, you’ve attained the Triple Crown of wedding photography. It’s akin to completing all game levels in beast mode, or something like that.
Throughout Jenessa’s wedding day, I got to meet her three bride’s maids – Tara, Brianna and Jasmine. I learned that all three were not married, but all had significant others. Because of my sweet and charming disposition, I became friends with all three of these beauties. Not with any intent, mind you. It’s just my nature. Since Jenessa’s wedding, Brianna contacted me, asking if I would photograph her wedding. Sadly, I was already booked on her day. I was seriously bummed. I would have loved to be her photographer.
I did have the pleasure however, of being Tara’s photographer during her wedding in Golden. You should check it out here. It was something special. And talk about a beautiful bride.
Jasmine is the beautiful red-head I have yet to photograph. And yes, she asked, and I was happy to oblige. I will be making a road trip up to Fort St John in 2018 for her wedding. I’m really looking forward to it.
