Lindsay & Christina
Wedding at Caldwell Heritage Farm
Hotel Eldorado | Getting Ready
Before heading to their wedding at Caldwell Heritage Farm, these two beautiful women started their day off in two different suites at the Hotel Eldorado in Kelowna, BC. For a lone photographer, this is a dream scenario. All I had to do was hop back and forth to their rooms, as they were right next to each other. I always find it interesting to see how couples get ready. The similar things they do, as well as the oddities. You could tell these two were meant for each other. They were completely in sync.
Wedding at Caldwell Heritage Farm | The Ceremony
Caldwell Heritage Farm has become one of the premiere spots in Kelowna for intimate weddings. The property has a few options with regard to where to hold a ceremony. There’s only one place for the reception, as far as I’m concerned, and that’s in the lower garden. With the pine trees providing protection from the breeze, the sun peeking through at sunset, and the lights strung between them, make this place a magical spot for a wedding dream.
It had been smokey for the past couple of weeks from all the fires burning in the province. Many people expressed concern during the rehearsal the previous day. I eased their concerns by telling them that there was a silver lining, or rather, an amber lining to that cloud. Sunsets never look so brilliant.
An Oasis for Her
This little shed, turned powder room, was one of Kristi Caldwell’s brilliant ideas. She had a vision, and enlisted the creative genius of Yuriko Larson of Vintage Origami, to help turn an old tool shed into a beautiful place for brides to relax. You can see more of this awesome sanctuary at this wedding at Caldwell Heritage Farm here.
