Korean Wedding Portraits in Vancouver
I took a day-trip down to Vancouver to photograph this Korean couple’s wedding portraits in Stanley Park. Arriving in the late afternoon, I was on time. Eileen and Brian, however, were running a bit behind. So glad I gave myself that half hour scheduling buffer.
As soon as they arrived, we made quick work of getting acquainted, and then we jumped right into it. As many photographers know, getting into a groove can take time. Even with professional models it can take fifteen to twenty minutes to get over that awkward period. With couples who are unaccustomed to being photographed, that period can last even longer. This is why it’s so crucial to meet your clients before the day of the photo session. To my absolute surprise and pleasure, Eileen was super easy to direct, and Brian was hilarious. I think we crushed that awkward faze within five minutes.
The next hour and twenty minutes went by in the blink of an eye. Luckily, Stanley Park provides a great photo opportunity every ten steps. In the end, the three of us shared some laughs and had a lot of fun. More importantly, Eileen and Brian were super happy with what we were able to accomplish in such a short time. I’m not going to lie – I might stress a bit when it comes to giving my clients the quality they deserve. It’s images like these that make it worth it, though.
Stanley Park is a favourite location for engagement photos as well. Check out Michelle and Darin, as well as Stephanie and Travis.
