The Eldorado Hotel is one of my favourite venues in Kelowna. It's one of few location where the entire wedding day can happen on location. There is enough scenery to allow for a great variety of photos. That's not to say you couldn't go off site. Many couples do. I took Tanis and Daniel to a park not far from The El. We did family photos as well as wedding party and family photos there.
The roof-top at the Eldorado Hotel can be a challenge when the sun shines. The trick is to time your ceremony late enough in the day so that the sun is mostly behind the wedding party. This ensures that everyone will be in the same light. In June this means a ceremony start time of around 5:00 PM. This might not be in the plans of most couples, but as someone whose profession is dictated by the light, I would recommend considering a later start to your roof-top ceremony.
